About the team As a Senior Design Technologist on the Design Technology and AI team, you’re the expert in prototyping and will bridge the gap between design, engineering, and applied science. You’ll work intimately with a small innovative design team to rapidly build new concepts, test customer behavior, and develop tools to accelerate learning. As a technology generalist, you will help translate future engineering capabilities into engaging customer experiences and drive strategic design decisions. By leveraging the latest technology, you’ll empower customers with new ways to evaluate homes effortlessly online and in person. You’ll explore how to bring more delight and authenticity to an emotional part of their journey as part of our mission to make Zillow the most-loved place to discover, buy, sell, or rent a home.

Como tecnólogo de diseño sénior en el equipo de tecnología de diseño e inteligencia artificial, serás el experto en creación de prototipos y tenderás un puente entre el diseño, la ingeniería y la ciencia aplicada. Trabajará en estrecha colaboración con un pequeño equipo de diseño innovador para crear rápidamente nuevos conceptos, probar el comportamiento de los clientes y desarrollar herramientas para acelerar el aprendizaje. Como generalista de la tecnología, ayudará a traducir las futuras capacidades de ingeniería en experiencias atractivas para el cliente e impulsará las decisiones estratégicas de diseño. Aprovechando la tecnología más avanzada, ofrecerá a los clientes nuevas formas de evaluar viviendas sin esfuerzo, tanto en línea como en persona. About the role

Responsibilities

  • Prototype digital experiences for web, iOS, Android, and operator platforms

  • Work closely with designers and researchers to rapidly build experiments that improve Zillow customer experiences 

  • Work closely with engineering and applied science to leverage live data sources, emerging AI models, and instrumentation in design explorations 

  • Present design work and regularly engage with partners for feedback

  • Advocate for customer needs throughout the design process

  • Lead projects independently and deliver high-quality work on time

  • Contribute, learn, grow, and have fun

  • Trabajar en estrecha colaboración con la ingeniería y la ciencia aplicada para aprovechar las fuentes de datos en vivo, los modelos emergentes de IA y la instrumentación en las exploraciones de diseño 

  • Presentar el trabajo de diseño y comprometerse regularmente con los socios para obtener comentarios

  • Defender las necesidades de los clientes en todo el proceso de diseño

  • Dirigir proyectos de forma independiente y entregar trabajo de alta calidad a tiempo

  • Contribuir, aprender, crecer y divertirse

This role has been categorized as a teleworker position. Teleworkers do not have a permanent corporate office workplace and, instead, work from a physical location of their choice which must be identified to the Company. Employees may live in any part of Mexico, but preferably in Mexico City, as we would encourage attendance for occasional in-office events.

In addition to a competitive base salary and benefits, this position is also eligible for equity awards based on factors such as experience, performance and location.

Who you are

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills

  • 5–7 years of hybrid experience as both a designer and developer

  • Deep experience working in frontend web technologies (HTML, CSS, React/TS).

  • Working experience in native mobile (iOS/Android) and/or mobile frameworks (Swift, Flutter, etc.)

  • Experience with Agile development methodologies and related software and tools to keep organized

  • Experience working reliably with diverse, cross-functional teams

  • Examples of high-quality prototype work in a design portfolio

  • Examples of critical thinking, creativity, and risk-taking in design projects

  • Experience making effective decisions and managing design project work

  • Experience with Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, or similar design and prototyping tools

  • Experiencia laboral en móviles nativos (iOS/Android) y/o frameworks móviles (Swift, Flutter, etc.)

  • Experiencia con metodologías de desarrollo ágil y software y herramientas relacionadas para mantenerse organizado

  • Experiencia trabajando de manera confiable con equipos diversos y multifuncionales

  • Ejemplos de trabajo de prototipos de alta calidad en una cartera de diseño

  • Ejemplos de pensamiento crítico, creatividad y asunción de riesgos en proyectos de diseño

  • Experiencia en la toma de decisiones efectivas y en la gestión de proyectos de diseño

  • Experiencia con Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD o herramientas similares de diseño y creación de prototipos.
