Job Description – Accounting SpecialistLocation: Hybrid (Once a Month need to be at the office in Puebla)Reports to: Accounting Team LeadPosition SummaryThe Accounting Specialist is responsible for performing a variety of accounting tasks, including processing transactions, reconciling accounts, preparing reports, and supporting month-end and year-end closing activities. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively across departments to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting. Key Responsibilities- Record and process accounting transactions in accordance with company policies and accounting standards. - Perform and review timely and accurate bank reconciliations, ensuring all transactions are properly recorded in the accounting system. - Liaise and collaborate with cross-functional departments to resolve discrepancies and ensure the completeness of bank reconciliations. - Review and ensure accuracy of credit card transactions, maintaining compliance with company policies and accounting standards. - Manage and update prepaid accounts schedules, preparing and posting related journal entries in the accounting system. - Perform account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies. - Support the month-end and year-end closing processes. - Maintain organized and accurate accounting records for audits and compliance. - Collaborate with internal teams to ensure proper documentation and coding of expenses. - Assist in process improvement initiatives within the accounting department. Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Accounting. - 3–5 years of experience in accounting roles. - Strong knowledge of accounting principles (GAAP / IFRS). - Proficiency with ERP systems – SAP an asset. - Strong skills in Microsoft Excel. - Excellent organizational and time management skills. - Excellent critical thinking and results oriented. - Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Preferred Qualifications- Experience in multinational companies. - Experience working with multiple currencies. - Advanced English proficiency (spoken and written).
