  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 1 year of experience in technical troubleshooting and writing code in one or more programming languages.
  • Experience in technical project management, stakeholder management, professional services, solution engineering, or technical consulting.
  • Experience with Data/SQL and web technologies.
Preferred qualifications:
  • Experience with scalable networking technologies and web standards.
  • Experience in system administration tasks in Linux, Unix, or similar, and with standard IT security practices (e.g., encryption, certificates, key management).
  • Experience with deployment and orchestration technologies (e.g., Puppet, Chef, Salt, Ansible, Docker, Kubernetes, Mesos, OpenStack, Jenkins).
  • Knowledge of open source server software (e.g., NGINX, RabbitMQ, Redis, Elasticsearch).

The Google Cloud team helps companies, schools, and government seamlessly make the switch to Google products and supports them along the way. You listen to the customer and swiftly problem-solve technical issues to show how our products can make businesses more productive, collaborative, and innovative. You work closely with a cross-functional team of web developers and systems administrators, not to mention a variety of both regional and international customers. Your relationships with customers are crucial in helping Google grow its Cloud business and helping companies around the world innovate.

As a Cloud Infrastructure Consultant, you will guide customers on how to configure and deploy their Google Cloud infrastructure consisting of identity and access management, network architecture, application security, logging, monitoring, billing, and more. You will consult with customers on how to best design their cloud applications for optimal scaling including CDN design, load balancer setup, caching, compute optimizations, continuous integration, delivery pipeline, and more. You'll travel to customer sites to deploy solutions and deliver workshops to educate and empower customers. Additionally, you will work with Product Management and Product Engineering to drive excellence in Google Cloud products and features.

Responsibilities
  • Solve Cloud Infrastructure and Developer Operations challenges for customers.
  • Create and deliver recommendations, tutorials, blog articles, sample code, and technical presentations adapting to different levels of key business and technical stakeholders.
  • Travel in-region for meetings, technical reviews, and onsite delivery activities as needed.
