Under the direction of and reporting to the Region Finance & IS&T Director, the Finance Manager is responsible for leading the measurement, analysis and communication of results of the Mexico business to upper management. He/She will assist in the preparation, analysis, communication and distribution of both actual and budgeted/forecasted financial statements. The goal is to enable the company’s leaders to make sound business decisions and meet the company’s objectives. This position will be located onsite at our Mexico locations with requirement of spending time at both the manufacturing plant and the administrative office.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Provide timely and accurate financial reports and interpret financial information to managerial staff while recommending further courses of action.
  • Advise on business initiatives or investment activities and provide strategies that the company should take.
  • Maintain the financial health of the organization, including accurate accounting for costs and gross margin as well as managing working capital.
  • Analyze costs, pricing, variable contributions, sales results and the company’s actual performance compared to the business plans.
  • Develop trends and projections for the company’s finances.
  • Conduct reviews and evaluations for cost-reduction opportunities.
  • Oversee all operations of the finance department in Mexico, set goals and objectives, and design a framework for these to be met.
  • Manage the preparation of the company’s budgets, forecasts and Long Term Plan.
  • Liaise with auditors to ensure appropriate monitoring of company finances is maintained.
  • Participate in the Plant Leadership team and correspond with various other departments, discussing company plans and agreeing on future paths to be taken.
  • Manage cash flow by monitoring bank transactions to avoid unapplied cash and maintaining AR and AP as current
  • Coordinate with accounting team on the timely and accurate preparation of the monthly / yearly financial statements packages.
  • Execute tax declaration, tax reporting, VAT (VAT claims when applicable)
  • Ensure all taxes and obligations are properly accrued, filed and paid timely (INFONAVIT, IMSS SAR, ISN, FONACOT)..
  • Strict and accurate financial procedures to ensure compliance with our local entity business policies and legal regulations.
  • Maintain internal control processes and standards and ensure its compliance.
  • Manage and mentor staff and help guide their development (including preparation of goals and objectives, reviews)

Qualification Requirements:

  • Bachelor degree in Finance, Accounting or related field, advance degrees are preferred
  • Minimum of 8 years of finance experience; preferably in manufacturing with experience in grain, malting or brewing industries a plus.
  • Experience in a management position in a corporate environment, including experience in financial reporting and planning.
  • Extensive understanding of financial trends both within the company and general market patterns.
  • Experience with an ERP system is preferred (SAP)
  • Exposure to international business environment is highly preferred.
  • Proficient user of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Power point)
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.
  • Able to manage, guide and lead employees to ensure appropriate financial processes are being used.
  • A solid understanding of financial statistics and accounting principles.
  • Working knowledge of all statutory legislation and regulations.
Qualifications Education Required

Bachelors or better in Finance or related field.

Experience Required 8 years:
