The Role The Senior Social Media Strategist & Insights Lead is a high-responsibility, senior-level role that leads the agency’s entire social media strategy division. You will be responsible for setting the strategic direction across all client accounts, building high-performing frameworks, and guiding a multidisciplinary team toward measurable growth. This role is for someone who sees the full picture: creative, analytical, and operational. You will use data as your foundation, creativity as your driver, and leadership as your multiplier. You will oversee reporting, audits, client strategies, and department systems, ensuring that every initiative at 197 The Agency is rooted in clarity, consistency, and excellence. Key Responsibilities Lead the Social Media Strategy Department, overseeing team operations, priorities, and quality across multiple client accounts. Develop weekly and monthly strategies for assigned clients, ensuring each plan is data-informed, platform-optimized, and creatively aligned. Drive data analytics and insights by interpreting performance beyond vanity metrics to uncover audience behavior, retention, and engagement trends. Conduct quarterly account audits across all clients to identify growth opportunities and performance gaps. Oversee and refine internal systems and tools such as organic and paid reporting, KPI dashboards, account audits, and workflow optimization. Collaborate with creative, paid, and leadership teams to align content strategy with business objectives. Host client presentations and strategic meetings, communicating insights, results, and recommendations with clarity and authority. Mentor and train strategists and coordinators in analytics, reporting, and platform best practices while fostering a culture of continuous growth. Stay at the forefront of platform evolution, translating algorithm changes and emerging trends into actionable strategies. Design growth experiments that integrate organic and paid data to test and scale high-impact approaches. Develop annual KPI and performance reports for clients and agency-wide metrics. Contribute directly to new business strategy and onboarding for incoming clients. Qualifications Minimum 4 years of experience in social media strategy, preferably within an agency environment. Advanced English Proficiency is a must (Level B2 and above) Proven track record of leading teams and managing multiple client accounts. Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Advertising, or related field (Marketing preferred). Strong command of data analytics and performance tracking tools such as Meta Business Suite, Ads Manager, Reportei, Notion, Slack, and CRM platforms. Advanced understanding of social media algorithms, consumer behavior, and digital content ecosystems. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English (bilingual preferred). Data analytics certifications or advanced training are a plus. Experience in corporate or brand marketing is an advantage.
