México Cornish Hernandez Gonzalez A tiempo completo

US-based personal injury firm seeks an amazing, experienced Legal Assistant. We help people who have been injured in accidents get the money that they need to pay their medical bills and live a better life. Our organization is made up of dedicated, proactive, driven A-players who go above and beyond to make sure our clients are well taken care of. We know that being severely injured can place significant emotional and financial strain on our clients, and we do our best to alleviate that strain. We are looking for a person to help in our medical records and post-settlement department with obtaining all medical documentation, preparing reductions, and assisting with closing out settled cases. This person would be a self-starter—proactive, driven, and committed to seeing tasks through—who thrives in a structured system and needs minimal supervision. This is someone who can bring exceptional organizational, communication, and administrative skills to our busy law firm. The right fit will be comfortable communicating with providers, persistent in follow-up, and a master of task completion under strict deadlines. Is this role right for you? Are you the kind of person who wakes up in the morning with a strong drive to accomplish? Do you always find yourself at the top of your game, always rising to the top of whatever team you are a part of? Do you find yourself demanding an elite level of performance from yourself, no matter what it is you’re engaged in? Do you love delivering on time and cringe when you hear others fall short and make excuses? If so, this role would be a perfect fit for you. Responsibilities Request, track, and obtain all medical records, bills, and itemized ledgers for all active cases in the firm. Follow up consistently with medical providers to ensure timely receipt of documents. Draft and submit reduction requests to providers and lienholders. Communicate with providers regarding outstanding balances and reductions. Track all pending reductions and ensure they are completed under strict timelines. Draft closing statements following settlement. Assist the settlement department by ensuring all required records, bills, and reductions are completed before closing. Work collaboratively with supervising attorneys and team members to ensure all tasks are completed on schedule, maintaining accountability for deadlines. Manage and oversee a high-volume workload of 50+ active requests and 15+ settled cases, ensuring timely and efficient progress while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail. Requirements 1 or more years of experience in a US based personal injury law firm is a MUST. 1 or more years of experience handling medical bill reductions Computer literacy/proficiency. Great command of the English language (Verbal and Written). Strong communication skills with providers, clients, and team members. Excellent drafting, organization, and follow-up skills. A proactive mindset and a strong sense of accountability in managing deadlines and assigned responsibilities. Ability to manage high-volume tasks efficiently and effectively, balancing competing priorities. Other Requirements Must have good, stable internet and own a camera for Zoom meetings. Interested? We look forward to learning more about you. A candidate with the above qualifications wishing to apply can click the "apply" button for further instructions on the application process.
