This position is responsible of providing support to all Mexico business functional areas and users. Keeping the Company as its primary client and safeguarding MK's interests, this position provides general legal advice and drafts legal documents needed for the business-as-usual operation of the subsidiary. This position is responsible of drafting and negotiating approximately 400 contracts a year, overseeing the subsidiary's litigation through external counsel and the execution of government procedures required for the business' operation. Responsabilities Drafting and reviewing all types of commercial and financial contracts and legal documents to ensure the documentation of local and Regional operations and transactions and therefore protecting the companies interests. Position is responsible of assessing all requesters over the risks of the operations and transactions taking place as well as of proposing and executing the documental legal strategy to protect the business. The position is responsible of reviewing the legal documents of third parties (powers of attorney, articles of incorporation, operational permits/licenses, etc.), details of the negotiation made with vendors, suggesting SLAs and KPIs to ensure the quality of goods and/or effective performance of the services rendered to the company as well as suggesting collaterals to protect the company. Responsible of all litigation and, in general, any matter related to any government agency and that arise within the normal course of the business' operation: sales force issues, labor issues, pink car program issues, vendor management, fines, etc. Execution of government procedures (permits, notices licenses, etc.) in behalf of the company usually regarding import-export issues, IP matters, consumers interests protection. Provide general Legal counsel and operational support to all functional areas in regard with PII, confidential and sensitive business information, e-comm, intellectual property and, in general, all matters related to informatics laws and regulation. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: 1-3 Years in Legal roles. Education: Bachelor/University Degree - Law or related Proficient English Excellent Customer Service Process driven, self-motivated, able to identify risks, Analytical, dynamic, and resilient. Excellent communication skills, Good interpersonal relationship and teamwork. High sense of ownership. Attention to detail and organization Knowledge on Intellectual Property Law, Data Protection Law, Informatics and E-Comm regulation, Litigation
