We at Master Lock are currently seeking a HR Generalist - Labor Relations inour high-volume Nogales, Sonora.This position requires an individual who has previous employee and labor relations experience, subject matter knowledge, and strong communication (written/verbal) and interpersonal skills that enables the individual to work successfully on a broad spectrum of employee relations and site support issues and projects.

Job Description

The position supports MasterLock Operations. HR/employee relations team ensure throughout the proper treatment, strategy and tactics, to avoid any labor complaint, conciliation or lawsuit before the government related to Labor-Legal. To support that objective, this position will focus on site support activities that improve local and network employee relations at our Nogales Operations.

  • Experience in conducting investigative work, including claimant, witness, and target employee interviews, investigative data analysis, and production of investigative documentation.
  • Experience developing policies and supporting documentation.
  • Experience managing confidential and sensitive employee information and adherence to strict confidentiality standards.
  • Experience in designing and delivering successful training programs.
  • Team player with demonstrated strong written and oral communication skills, excellent public speaker.
  • Strong interpersonal and persuasion skills, enabling individual to establish partnerships working with senior leaders and across organizational lines
  • Highly analytical thinker and problem solver
  • Proven attention to detail; extremely organized
  • Acts with sense of urgency, fast pace, and desire to thrive in a dynamically growing environment.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in labor law, human resources, Business, or a related field, or equivalent experience in lieu of degree
  • 3+ years’ experience in Employee Relations and/or workplace issue related investigations, Human Resources, Mexico’s Labor/Employment relations, Labor/employment law or related areas. Prior working experience and knowledge of the same industry/field is preferred.
  • Strong Knowledge of Mexico’s employment and labor relations regulations and practice.
  • Highly developed interviewing skills, good command of written and verbal communication in English and Spanish.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced global environment, in a fast moving, global and complex organization.
  • Self-motivated with a strong work ethic with the ability to perform job functions with minimum supervision in a dynamic environment.
  • Proactive and ability to think strategically, capable to identify and resolve issues, be effective and efficient in a multi-tasking environment.
  • Understanding of confidentiality – must be able to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
  • High level of integrity – must be able to represent and model integrity within the organization.
