Role Description This is a full-time contractor, remote role for a Software Business Development Representative (BDR) within the Sales team. The BDR will be responsible for generating and qualifying leads to support the sales pipeline through proactive outbound outreach. In this role, the BDR will act as the first point of contact with potential customers, engaging prospects to understand their business challenges and identify opportunities where the company's software solutions can add value. Responsibilities include lead generation and qualification, scheduling meetings and product demos, maintaining accurate CRM records, collaborating closely with Account Executives and Sales leadership, and contributing to revenue growth by consistently feeding qualified opportunities into the pipeline. Qualifications Proven experience in business development, sales development, or lead generation roles. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with confidence engaging prospects via phone, email, and social channels. Experience working with CRM tools (HubSpot preferred) and maintaining accurate sales data. Ability to qualify leads based on target criteria and business needs. Strong understanding of sales processes, pipeline management, and outreach strategies. Analytical mindset to track performance metrics and optimize outreach efforts. Ability to work collaboratively with Account Executives and Sales leadership. Knowledge of the software industry is a plus. Highly organized, self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to work independently in a remote environment.
