Job Tittle : Global Procurement Services Category Manager Location : Mexico Country Skills: Hardware/Software Industry Knowledge Dell, HPE, Lenovo, Netapp and others Procurement Negotiations Skills, Problem Solver and strategic thinker Fluent English Language with effective communication skills Use of MS365 tools SAP/Ariba as Procurement Tool Supplier relationship Management Contract Negotiation and Management Position Summary Primarily responsible for the effective creation and implementation of all category’s strategic direction and management of the category under scope of responsibility ( Servers and Storage HW), working with the global procurement team to implement category strategies with focus on cost optimization, negotiate contracts and commercial terms and supplier relationship management with key OEMs. This role will be responsible for managing supplier relationships, as well as identifying and mitigating supply chain risk. Key areas of Responsibility Act as point of contact for internal or external stakeholders and determine global priorities for the Category Ensure Category, Procurement and Stakeholder team members adhere to HCL Procurement Policies Develop global cost optimization strategies for the category Establish a method and monitor the execution of Category activities Buying Guides creation for Key OEMs Negotiate contracts with key OEMs and agreements Monitor Category markets on a on-going basis to identify and understand key players, new comers, economic evolutions, market or regulation constraints, innovations and technology in order to support the development of the most up to date category strategies for the business Report on a monthly basics Category spend results and execute procurement audits
