Regional Manufacturing Engineering Director

As Regional Manufacturing Engineering Director, you will lead and shape the manufacturing engineering strategy across North America. This is a senior leadership role with broad influence across engineering, operations, product development, and sales, focused on driving innovation, scalability, and operational excellence. What You’ll Do Lead the regional manufacturing engineering function, setting direction, priorities, and standards. Build, develop, and scale Centers of Excellence (COEs) to support business growth and changing customer needs. Partner closely with Product Development, Sales, and Plant Leadership from early design through production to enable design-in and build-to-spec solutions. Drive manufacturing innovation and automation , including tooling, equipment, and advanced manufacturing technologies. Support new product introduction (NPI) and help build a strong pipeline of future business opportunities. Champion sustainable and “green” manufacturing initiatives . Develop and mentor high-performing engineering teams across the region. Ensure protection of product intellectual property and patents . What We’re Looking For Strong foundation in Mechanical Engineering and manufacturing operations. Hands-on experience with tooling, automation, precision engineering, stamping, molding, plating, and machinery . Proven track record of leading manufacturing innovation and continuous improvement. Automotive manufacturing experience required , ideally in powertrain or harsh under-the-hood environments; electrification experience is a plus. Demonstrated ability to lead, influence, and develop teams across multiple sites. Collaborative, pragmatic leader who can operate strategically while staying close to execution.
