Job Description – Senior Spotfire Engineer Location: Remote About the Role Moderna is driving the future of healthcare by harnessing digital technologies to deliver meaningful impact to patients worldwide. We are seeking a Senior Spotfire Engineer to support a high-visibility, large-scale initiative focused on building a GxP end-to-end analytical reporting platform. This role will design and develop sophisticated Spotfire dashboards that allow business teams to visualize, analyze, consume, and export data seamlessly. You will work closely with partners across regulatory operations, analytical development, QC, and other business units to strengthen reporting capabilities and enhance the value of our digital ecosystem. Key Responsibilities Develop and maintain advanced Spotfire dashboards (v12.0+). Implement complex Spotfire functionalities using SQL, IronPython, HTML, CSS, and Java . Design and optimize dimensional and columnar data models for analytical workloads. Perform Spotfire administration activities: user access, scheduling, deployments, migrations. Lead BI design discussions, translating business needs into scalable reporting solutions. Profile, test, and validate data; identify and resolve data quality issues. Automate monitoring, logging, and alerting processes to ensure data integrity. Convert business questions into structured warehouse and BI deliverables. Stay updated on Spotfire upgrades, TIBCO community best practices, and emerging BI tech. Participate in requirements refinement, solution design sessions, sprint ceremonies, and backlog planning. Execute technical GxP validation activities (CSV) and author technical documentation in compliance with 21 CFR Part 11, Annex 11 , and internal quality frameworks. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. 10+ years of experience developing BI reports, data warehousing, and analytics solutions. 6+ years hands-on experience building Spotfire dashboards (v12.0+). Strong coding experience: Postgres SQL, IronPython, HTML, CSS, Java . 6+ years experience in ETL and data transformation using SQL/Python. Proven experience working in AWS cloud environments. Solid understanding of data modeling (star, snowflake, data vault, dimensional). Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Experience using GitHub for version control and deployments. Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders. Demonstrated ability to keep pace with evolving technologies. Strong ownership of technical documentation and requirement specifications. 3–4 years of experience working in Agile Scrum within a GxP-regulated environment . Strong understanding of data quality, ALCOA+ principles, and validation documentation (URS, FS, DS, IQ/OQ/PQ). Experience with tools: JIRA, Confluence, Kneat, Veeva . Preferred Qualifications Spotfire certifications. Certifications in ETL tools, HTML, CSS, or Java.
