We are currently seeking a talented Payments Systems Specialist / Payments & Transactional Switch Engineer (IST/Switch) with strong experience in payment systems, digital banking, and transactional platforms. You will collaborate with internal teams and clients to develop high-performance, customized solutions based on FIS payment products , ensuring optimal integration with the digital payments ecosystem (Visa, Mastercard, Amex, networks, fraud engines, and core banking platforms). 📍 Modality: Remote 🗣️ English Level: Advanced reading, writing, and listening (not mandatory) 💼 Position Type: Full-time 📆 Experience Level: 6–7 years (Senior Developer) Core Responsibilities Collaborate with internal teams and clients to gather technical requirements. Develop customizations and extensions for FIS payment products. Design algorithms and new software systems for high-availability transactional environments. Write efficient, high-performance code for payment processing. Test, deploy, and maintain applications across multiple environments. Troubleshoot, optimize, and improve existing software. Collect and analyze user feedback to enhance platform performance. Create technical documentation for future development. Specialized Payments & Switch Responsibilities Integrate IST with external payment networks such as Visa, Mastercard, Amex, and local switching networks. Integrate IST with core banking systems , fraud engines, settlement modules, and digital banking platforms. Manage ISO 8583 libraries, conversion tables, and message variants required per network or institution. Configure, maintain, and optimize transactional routing rules within the switch. Ensure compliance with fintech and digital banking operational standards. Collaborate in certification processes with card networks and local payment schemes. Required Skills Deep knowledge of payment applications, transactional systems, and digital banking platforms . Strong experience working with Switch Transaccional (FIS IST) or similar platforms. Solid understanding of back-office processing , settlement, and reconciliation. Strong experience with the ISO 8583 standard , message variants, and field mappings. Technical Skills Advanced proficiency in C++ . Experience with Oracle Database and Linux environments . Familiarity with Java or Angular . Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Nice to Have Deep knowledge of one or more FIS applications : IST Switch, Clearing, MAS, CBK, Data Navigator. Experience in fintech environments, digital banks, or high-volume transactional platforms. Familiarity with EMV, tokenization, PCI compliance, and card-network certification processes.
