As a Qualcomm Quality Engineer, you will plan, implement, and manage compliance of design, development/manufacturing, production processes, and/or quality requirements with safety, quality, and regulatory standards for worldwide distribution. Qualcomm Quality Engineers collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet and exceed customer expectations. This position will be a hands-on role in managing a global internal assessment program to meet Qualcomm requirements, comply with ISO 9001 standard and independently performing global assessments. Bachelor's Degree in Applied Science, Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field and 2+ years of Quality Engineering or related work experience. Master's Degree in Applied Science, Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field and 1+ year of Quality Engineering or related work experience. PhD in Applied Science, Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field. Leverage advanced Quality Engineering knowledge and experience to plan and implement internal assessments of compliance to design, development/manufacturing, production processes, and/or quality requirements and ISO standards. Perform advanced analyses of reports and data to identify highly critical trends and drives updates or control changes to quality standards and procedures. Ensure quality integration into the overall functions of design, development, process, and production. Establish and maintain healthy relationships with influential/decision makers on ongoing Quality assessments throughout the organization. Develop and/or deliver training material, process documents, and templates for ISO certifications and/or external certifications; Works independently with minimal supervision. Provides supervision/guidance to other team members. Decision-making is significant in nature and affects work beyond immediate work group. planning, problem-solving, and prioritization must occur to complete the tasks effectively. 10+ years of Quality Engineering or related work experience. ~3+ years of experience with data modeling in statistical software such as MS Excel, Minitab, etc. ~3+ years of work experience in a role requiring interaction with senior leadership (e.g., Hands-on experience with managing internal assessments for global organizations. ~ Has led audits of product development processes and is comfortable with assessments and reporting Quality metrics. ~ Structured problem-solving capability and ability to work with teams on root cause analysis. ~ Qualcomm expects its employees to abide by all applicable policies and procedures, including but not limited to security and other requirements regarding protection of Company confidential information and other confidential and/or proprietary information, to the extent those requirements are permissible under applicable law.
