About the Role: The firm is expanding its Origination team and is looking for a Direct Sourcing Associate (Business Development) to help develop and execute outbound sourcing strategies for new investment opportunities across its portfolio. The Direct Sourcing Associate will focus on identifying and engaging potential acquisition targets, conducting in-depth market research, and managing the early stages of deal flow. The role requires strong communication skills, persistence, and an entrepreneurial mindset to build relationships directly with business owners and decision-makers. Key Responsibilities: Lead proactive outreach efforts to identify and qualify new investment opportunities through direct engagement with founders and executives. Conduct comprehensive market and industry research to uncover emerging trends and build target lists aligned with the firm's investment strategy. Manage a consistent pipeline of qualified opportunities and track performance metrics such as calls made, meetings scheduled, and deals advanced. Utilize CRM systems and internal tools to maintain accurate records of outreach activities, contacts, and deal statuses. Collaborate closely with senior team members to align on sourcing strategies and reporting. Continuously improve sourcing processes through feedback, data analysis, and best practices sharing. Ideal Background & Skills: 2–4 years of experience in a sourcing, business development, or outbound sales role — ideally in private equity, investment banking, or B2B services. Proven ability to build rapport with executives and business owners through direct outreach. Experience in business services, industrials, or technology-enabled services preferred. Strong critical thinking, structured communication, and organizational skills. High energy, persistence, and a positive, growth-oriented mindset. Comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment where collaboration and initiative are valued. Personal Attributes: Charismatic and authentic communicator with strong interpersonal skills. Motivated self-starter with a low-ego, high-performance attitude.
