Content Project Manager Role: Content Project Manager Location: Remote / Online Position: Full-time Hours: 8:30 am - 4:30 pm EST Company: Simplified Marketing (Based in USA) Job Summary: Simplified Marketing is looking for a highly organized Content Project Manager to oversee our SEO content, manage production for writers, editors, designers, and developers, and guide each piece from initial planning through final review. This role works closely with the CEO and Marketing Manager to adjust monthly strategy, track industry shifts, and keep content moving smoothly across multiple client accounts. This role is a strong match for someone who understands SEO, communicates clearly, works well under deadlines, and enjoys coordinating with clients, writers, editors, and designers. Key Responsibilities Edits and Client Communication – Manage all client communications including follow up emails – Manage client edits – Make or delegate edits as appropriate – Ensure edits are completed and meet client expectations – Manage forward movement of all pending tasks, including client communication Written Content Production – Manage written content production – Make sure all required content for each client is accounted for on a monthly basis and completed on time – Ensure automated assignments are correct and up to date, and any non-automated assignments are assigned appropriately – Create and schedule content assignments to writers and confirm content is created in a timely manner that allows it to move through all required stages before finalization by the due date – Manage day-to-day writer workloads and adjust assignments as needed Design and Web Review – Review all designs and web projects – Review for any format issues, design flaws, or content adjustments New Client and New Project Management – Create content direction guidelines for new clients or new assignments given to writers to keep assignments clear and minimize repeated work – Do research into client needs, market space, and type of content required – Provide samples and notes on what not to do as needed Quality Checks – Quality check content after editorial review and make or request any adjustments needed to meet required standards and align with strategy, voice, and client needs before the CEO's final content review – –– Includes all written content: social media, SEO, blogs, and pages – –– Critical thinking skills and grammar proficiency are highly needed here – Review designed components to confirm they match client specifications and overall fit and voice Required Skills & Qualifications – Previous Management Experience of at least 5 years – Experience managing content workflows, writers, or editorial processes – Strong English grammar and writing skills with the ability to think critically about content quality – Confident working on the backend of Wix, Shopify, and WordPress to review items – Proficient in Canva – Skilled in Notion and the Google Suite – Familiar with SemRush, SE Ranking, and Google Search Console – Knowledge of GA4 is a plus – Strong communication skills, especially via email – Ability to work independently, stay responsive, and handle a steady workload The Ideal Candidate – 5 years of experience in content management, SEO, or editorial operations – Strong attention to detail – Highly proficient in English and grammar – Excellent task and time management skills – Comfortable coordinating across multiple clients, topics, and industries – Curious, organized, and able to make decisions without needing constant guidance – Clear communicator who can guide writers and provide direction with confidence Interview Process If selected to move forward, the first step will be a short video recording submitted through Loom. In this video, you will walk through how you approach your work—specifically how you manage content projects, organize priorities, and decide what needs attention first. This helps us understand your thought process and how you operate day to day. If your Loom video is selected for the next stage, you will move into a live interview to talk through your experience, communication style, and how you would handle real scenarios within our content workflow. Additional steps, including reference checks and a content review assignment, may follow depending on the role fit.
