GENERAL MISSION OF THE POSITION

The Mayan Train Project “After-sales Service” team is dedicated to providing efficient and high-quality maintenance to the railway systems provided by Alstom and its partners.

 

 

MAIN ACTIVITIES

 

 

Coordinate the execution of Maintenance activities on the rolling stock of the Mayan train.

 

Reports directly to:

Head of maintenance workshop.

 

Other reports:

Rolling stock maintenance manager.

 

Network and links:

Internal:

• Customer Service Team (PI, Maintenance)

• Project Engineering Team (site and back-office)

• Installation, testing, and commissioning equipment (if applicable)

• Representatives of Internal Suppliers (Components/PU)

• Global System Representatives (if applicable)

External:

• Client site team

• Representative of external suppliers

 

Work Location:

The position is based on one of the sites on the Yucatan Peninsula, in this case, Cancun, where the rolling stock stops after commercial service: workshops, parking yards, and stations.

Sometimes it may be necessary to accompany a driver during a test or commercial service, or carry out an intervention at any point on the Mayan Train line.

 

Work hours:

Supervising activities are normally managed by rotation in different shifts:

Most work on trains is performed during the night shift and technical support coverage is established according to commercial service hours.

 

Main Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

 

Carry out Rolling Stock Maintenance activities:

• Mainly preventive: materials management and labor organization.

• Occasionally corrective, including activities carried out simultaneously with preventive maintenance

• Includes interventions in maintenance workshops and garages (most of the time) + occasionally in stations and anywhere on the Mayan Train line.

 

Reports and logs any deviations (faults/events) to the Fault Management database, including configuration data.

Support the operation by performing data analysis, especially using HealthHub® (HealthHub is Alstom's platform to collect, process, and analyze data produced by the equipment to be maintained, to continuously manage and optimize operation and maintenance)

Opening of breakdown notifications and management of corrective Service Orders in the Maintenance Management System.

Apply and enforce Alstom and customer EHS and safety standards and relevant PI processes at the customer site.

Support the implementation of field modifications if necessary.

Recommend preventive and corrective actions.

Advises PI management on customer satisfaction, product performance, and suggestions for product improvements.

Ensure a good flow of information on interventions and operations within problem-solving to support shift transition if required.

Contribute to the return of experience

Characterization of K1S/K2/K3 problems

Configuration update data availability

Audit results (internal and external)

Customer satisfaction with technical expertise.

Compliance with EHS standards and work-related processes

 

 

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

 

Basic training

Higher or Intermediate and/or Technical Training Degree, with a specialty preferably in Electromechanics or Mechatronics

Further training

Knowledge and practice of low/medium/high voltage electronic or electrical tools and instrumentation (up to 25kV).

Handling of mechanical measurement tools (dynamometrics, calipers, scantlings, vibrations, etc.), electrical (multimeter, oscilloscope...), pneumatic (manometer...), and test devices for communication systems (network analyzer...)

 

Basic computer knowledge (Windows, Office...)

Desired professional experience

Experience in industrial maintenance, especially in the area of ​​railway maintenance, and work with Medium/High Voltage and mechanics, as well as industrial cold.
