R&D Head

Job Description:

The R&D Head - Wet is the interface with both global technology experts and local teams in all process and technical matters. This professional ensures that all projects are implemented flawlessly guaranteeing an effective working relationship between the technology team and other involved teams, delivering full business solutions. The role is also accountable to identifying business opportunities on both innovation and efficiency projects.

What are we looking for?

• Minimum experience of 10 years leading a research and development team for FMCG industries.
• Strong technical background and expertise in Food product development.
• Quality mindset, with understanding of manufacturing processes. 
• Due to global interactions, advanced English required.

What will be your key responsibilities?

• Lead the R&D team overseeing all aspects of research and development activities, driving innovation, and ensuring the successful development and implementation of new products, processes, and technologies.
• Fuel the innovation pipeline (build, expand and disrupt core innovation), identifying and translating consumer, shopper and customer insights into key quality attributes (KQA's) and desirable product taken from first prototype through to industrial production.
• Collaborate with Supply Chain teams, being the Wet R&D focal point.
• Responsible for continuous improvement projects, ensuring product performance targets are met, leveraging from global process best practices and assuring stable process capability at the most competitive cost structure.
• Contribute to the Innovation Pipeline product codification by bringing the technological perspective and the impacts to current business model and factories capabilities.
