"The most important thing in life is to stop saying 'I wish' and start saying 'I will'. Consider nothing impossible, then treat possibilities as probabilities"

- Charles Dickens

Lancaster School is a non-profit, bicultural, inclusive school with a progressive educational philosophy, firmly committed to both Mexican and international educational systems. While we are rightly proud that many of our graduates go on to university, we do not measure the school’s success only through academic performance. Central to the school’s philosophy and practice is the recognition that our educational project focuses on helping our students discover who they are and who they want to be. As a community, we welcome diversity in all its forms and the complexity that goes with this.

Lancaster caters for roughly 800 children from 3 to 18 years, mostly of Mexican nationality from professional and academic families. Our students start with the IB Primary Years Programme (PYP) during the Primary years. Secondary students study the International Middle Years Program (IMYC), IGCSEs and the IB Diploma, while also completing local educational requirements. Secondary classes are limited to a maximum of 25 students. In the IB diploma years, classes are smaller with a maximum of 16 students.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, caring, and passionate secondary level Physics Lead Teacher with a genuine commitment to the education of the whole child. The successful candidate will preferably have a minimum of two years' teaching experience and some understanding of teaching in an EAL context. While IGCSE and/or IB Diploma experience is an advantage it is more important that you have a creative approach to turning curriculum into learning, are committed to creating a classroom ethos where children flourish and are excited by the opportunity to work in an informal and friendly atmosphere alongside a mix of foreign and Mexican colleagues.
