YOUR ROLE
    • Ensure everyone on the events department execute their tasks and responsibilities with the highest standards
    • Create PO's and agreed concepts for the events department
    • Plan and action training and development strategy.

    Develop and promote succession planning by identifying key department candidates for career growth

    • Monitor all costs, reviewing P&L and recommend measures to control them • ·Establishes goals and objectives for the events team of responsibility and communicates and motivates team to achieve
    • Create alliances and partnerships with vendors to receive the best service services and prices available, always ensuring the met with the highest standards of both properties.
    • Manage and supervise all events, making sure all are well executed by the events team.
    • Hold effective and informative department manager meetings.

    Actively encourage and implement new ideas of how to the guest and inspire colleagues to do the same.

    • Maintain complete knowledge of and comply with all departmental policies, service procedures and standards.
    • Conduct weekly and monthly meetings with all departments so everyone is fully aware of what events are happening.
    • Review that all documents, brochures and information of events are updated to maintain good working relationships with your own colleagues, and all other departments.
    • Create reports and meeting to have great communication.
    • Support Sales Coordinator with the pre-event planning, communication and on-site execution of the event
    • Source, select and manage relationship with vendor(s) and venue(s)
    • Planning of event details (Room sets, Travel, Translation, Transportation, Entertainment, Deliverable)
    • Track and manage timelines, milestones, and expenses, and remain within budget
    • Coordinate with other members of the Henkel on meeting space build out, assignments, and utilization
    • Coordinate logistics for special events including receptions, book signings, and other activities
    • Provide registration support as needed
    • Manage specific projects assigned by Sales Coordinator
    • Coordinate staffing needs for the onsite event including volunteers, hired contractors, and vendors; schedule, manage, and train onsite staff in Henkel
    • Highly effective organizational skills, with the ability to multitask and organize time to meet deadlines

YOUR SKILLS
    • Ability to travel to onsite and other venues as required, including internationally, subject to any travel restrictions
    • Bachelor’s degree required or equivalent combination of education and experience
    • Experience in program development and production of conferences or forums
    • Preferred subject matter knowledge in energy, technology and innovation
    • Ability to work in a highly dynamic, but fun environment
    • Experience working collaboratively in a cross-functional, matrix organization
    • Oral and written communication skills, including presentation and facilitation skills
    • Competency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and others internal systems (SAP, Ariba, Edicom), etc.
