Librarian

*The general objective of the position:*

To provide a well-managed and resourceful library environment that supports
the educational goals of the ASFC fosters a love for reading and learning
among students, and empowers the school community with essential information
literacy skills. The school librarian aims to enhance the overall educational
experience by curating a diverse collection of materials, collaborating with
teachers to integrate library resources into the curriculum, and promoting a
culture of inquiry, critical thinking, and lifelong learning.

The American School Foundation of Chiapas, A.C. is a bilingual, multicultural

The person who holds the position must have responsibilities by their
position level in the administrative hierarchy stories such as:

* Develop transdisciplinary skills in students.
* Conduct weekly planning 
* Collaborative planning of the IB unit of inquiry
* Complete online/in-person Professional development tasks assigned
promptly.
* Monitoring and documenting student assessment.
* Adapting curriculum content and strategies for children with special
educational needs.
* Prepare for observation and/or supervision visits.
* Understand and implement the concept-based learning philosophy of the IB
program
* Foster a culture of Respect, tolerance, equity, empathy, and cooperation.
* Create a learning culture that supports ASFC´s mission, vision, and
philosophy.

*Salary scale *according to previous experience, educational degrees, and
local life conditions.
