Job Summary

The Logistics and Customs Specialist plays an integral part in optimizing Mycronic's supply chain and ensuring the smooth flow of goods. This role maintains and develops efficient and cost-effective logistics operations. The Logistics and Customs Specialist is responsible for a variety of tasks, including daily logistics and warehouse operations, and international trade compliance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyzes logistics operations based on company strategy
  • Develops and implements efficient workflow processes
  • Identifies and responds quickly to logistics exceptions
  • Controls logistics costs and proposes solutions for optimization
  • Maintains and manages relationships with logistics suppliers
  • Communicates clearly and concisely with colleagues, suppliers, and customers
  • Collaborates with upstream and downstream departments
  • Manages special trade import goods as necessary
  • Manages daily shipping activities; including vehicle allocation, transportation registration, and cargo tracking
  • Responds to and provides feedback on logistics exceptions
  • Reconciles freight costs and processes payments
  • Collects customs declaration data
  • Books freight and arranges transportation for international shipments
  • Prepares customs declarations
  • Generates customer-facing documents (bill of lading, insurance policy, certificate of origin)
  • Identifies and resolves logistics challenges efficiently
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Experience And Qualifications

  • 2-3 years basic experience in warehouse management preferred
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing warehouse preferred
  • Knowledge of customs regulations, import/export procedures, and free trade agreements
  • Familiarity with inbound and outbound logistics processes and documentation
  • Understanding of warehouse location management and coding systems
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Maintains composure under pressure in a fast-paced work environment
  • Ensures accuracy in data entry, customs paperwork, and other documentation
  • Proven time management, problem-solving and organizational abilities
