As we continue to grow as QuidelOrtho, we are seeking a Government Sales Manager who is responsible of achieving a business liaison with Integrators, based on QuidelOrtho principles of ethics and compliance, and for analyzing the government business environment in which these are mainly developed, as well as making action plans, implementation and monitoring of current and potential bidding events, supporting the commercial pillars in Mexico to retain, grow and win business for QuidelOrtho.

The Responsibilities

  • Diagnoses and identifies in the organizational structures of Integrators (current and potential) the critical managerial, decision making influencing and operational functions, and makes retention/growth plans for current business and potential wins.

  • Makes plans and identifies areas of operational opportunity supported by the Sales force, and transmits them to the decision making and influencing management areas, which support the retention, development and growth of business with Integrators (current and potential).

  • Participates in the annual sales operation plans (AOP), identifying government business where there are contract renewals (installed base of brand), as well as those government tenders that are renewed; and where we do not have presence, with plans and synergistic activities and promotion among the work teams involved, aimed at achieving our participation.

  • Analyzes, develops and implements action plans in conjunction with the Marketing team for under developed or uncomplied accounts, leading with the Sales team the completion and measurement of the results of the required actions, in order to reverse trends and improve the performance of these Distributors.

  • Participates proactively and effectively in meetings convened by functional areas in order to provide the necessary information and feedback to support the continuous improvement of processes and achievement of objectives.

  • Expert knowledgeable of federal and state procurement laws that are of interest to the business, supporting the identification and analysis of bidding events together with the Bidding Coordinator, establishing levels of compliance and calculates the possibilities of retention or participation as appropriate.

  • Promotes meetings within the Integrator's structures and work teams in order to increase the knowledge and values of QuidelOrtho products and services in them, and provides feedback to the Commercial teams on promotion and how to improve the brand image.

  • Participates un Regional Sales Meetings to present government sales schemes that support the understanding of the government market in Mexico.

  • Perform other work related duties as assigned.

The Individual

  • University degree in Chemistry or a career related to the Healthcare area.

  • At least 5 years of experience in sales and business development for government institutions.

  • Experience in the IVD industry.

  • Effective communication and presentations skills, listening and understanding customer requirements, management of strategic selling and SFDC; planning, organization and metrics management.

  • Microsoft Office skills at an advanced level.

  • Fluent English.

  • Availability to travel at least one week per month.
