Job Description

This position will lead the finance function in Mexico HIFF as it is a part of the Global Accounting & Control organization, and the position responsibilities include:

  • Manage and lead the Accounting and Controlling function for IFF Mexico, including the implementation of consistent and effective business processes that enhance IFF and the Share Service Centers 
  • Provide primary coordination for activities and alignment between Finance, Accounting and Controllership, Tax, Treasury, SSC, AP, AR and other areas
  • Provide financial support to the Business Finance and OPS Finance through advices and timely accurate reporting, 
  • Lead and manage all aspects associated with Accounting, Auditing and Controllership management compliance with related policies and procedures. 
  • Ensure timely compliance with statutory and tax requirements as well as corporate policies and procedures.
  • Lead the Balance Sheet and P&L reviews for HIFF been owner of all processes, responding for variances and mitigating risks when they are identified.
  • Maintain an appropriate internal control environment and Lead the SOX controls ensuring that everything is working according to policies and procedures. 
  • Team development prepare a succession plan 
Scope
  • Management of general accounting processes including historical financial reporting
  • Manage the internal control environment including SOX compliance as well as point of contact for internal and external audits.
  • Coordinate with Tax Team the fiscal and taxes audits.
  • Manage local treasury including bank relationships in accordance with global policies and guidelines.
  • Provide support for general legal, administrative, and statutory requirements.  
  • Manage Auditing with PWC and all Legal Requirements in Mexico related to Tax Opinion and other recently obligations introduced by the Mexico Government 
Key Responsibilities
  • General accounting processes including indirect management of Share Service Centers 
  • Fiscal and tax management and compliance, including Fiscal Books, e-accounting, tax requirements and tax audits.
Job Requirements
  • 7-10 years’ experience leading finance functions; working knowledge of U.S. 
  • Over 10 years experience handling Accounting in Mexico 
  • Accountant certification (Cedula profisional)
  • Strong knowledge of Mexican fiscal books and tax reporting requirements including the TAX OPINION, DataStage and others. 
  • Experience handling SOX requirements.
  • Experience in working with SAP and/or another ERP system 
  • Familiarity with a shared service environment is a plus.
  • Fluent English 
  • A post-graduate degree is a plus.
