Job Description:

 The purpose of the CTI Specialist is to manage sensory and consumer research projects within the function of R&D, that support the development of new and existing technologies and products, from a pet and pet parent perspective. To measure human perception, and to use it in combination with consumer and pets behavior understanding, to develop a deeper understanding of our target consumers and product solutions.  

 

What are we looking for? 

  • Bachelor’s Degree (Food Engineer, Food Science, Chemical Engineer Sensory Science, Consumer Science, Food Science, Psychology or related fields).
  • Advanced English required.
  • Relevant (2 – 3 years) experience in Sensory and Consumer Science including professional placements during academic studies (agency and/or FMCG company)
  • Fundamental knowledge of current Sensory and Consumer Science methodologies and awareness of more complex, innovative methods
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Project management, organization.

 

 What will be your key responsibilities? 

  • Responsible for leading sensory and consumer research projects within R&D, this includes consulting with key stakeholders to determine project objectives, developing test design, conducting the research as per best practice standards and delivery of recommendations to relevant R&D and business partners.
  • Effective delivery of projects to time, cost and quality whilst working with and influencing key stakeholders.
  • Analyse and interpret sensory and consumer data and provide key stakeholders with clear and actionable recommendations. 
  • Manage relationships with sensory science research agencies (project planning, budgeting and invoice management). 
  • Ensure knowledge and application of innovative sensory research methodologies within Mars Petcare via active participation in conferences and sensory research network.
