And so much more.Come break through with us.Our Optical Communications segment has recently evolved from being a manufacturer of optical fiber and cable, hardware and equipment to being a comprehensive provider of industry-leading optical solutions across the broader communications industry. This segment is classified into two main product groupings – carrier network and enterprise network. The carrier network product group consists primarily of products and solutions for optical-based communications infrastructure for services such as video, data and voice communications. The enterprise network product group consists primarily of optical-based communication networks sold to businesses, governments and individuals for their own use.Role PurposeThe Chief of Staff serves as a strategic partner to senior leadership in the OCS Global Manufacturing organization, driving cross-functional initiatives, aligning organizational priorities, and ensuring operational rigor within a complex, matrixed environment, effectively bridging strategy and execution by coordinating global teams and anticipating both internal and external challenges.Key ResponsibilitiesFacilitate the development of global OCS MFG StrategySupport with data analysis of information shared with different levels, such as costs, ramp-ups, among othersLeading projects in support of management team including OEA’s, executive reviews preparation, cost analysis, and KPI reportingManagement of OCS Manufacturing SharePoint sitesFacilitation and support of weekly, monthly and specials project meetings for division staffLead Special Projects such as planning system development and dashboard reportingDevelop strategic response options, select, and recommend the best course of action, secure leadership support and drive into implementation for overall improvement in programs and initiativesSupport execution of global business continuity development and managementExperiences/Education - RequiredBachelor’s degree in engineering, Supply Chain or BusinessAt least 3 years’ relevant experience in Plant Operations, Supply Chain or Product ManagementCapability to utilize strategic frameworks to formulate strategiesExcellent written, presentation and verbal communications skills at multiple levelsStrong understanding of OCS manufacturing operationsStrong Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel and Power Bi skillsWork independently, thoughtfully, and effectively in a dynamic working environmentStrong analytical abilities with able to turn quantitative analysis into significant business insightsProject management skills and experience leading complex projectsBig picture thinking and the ability to see how decisions will ripple across the enterpriseAdvanced Degree: Master\u2019s degree in Engineering, Business Administration (MBA), or a relatedData Analytics Proficiency: Strong skills in data visualization tools and advanced statistical softwareA job that shapes a life.Corning offers you the total package.Your well-being is our priority.
