OverviewThe Production Manager is responsible for all aspects of the production operations at the Nogales Assembly plant. The person in this position is responsible for creating a culture of safety, quality, delivery, productivity, and continuous improvement.ResponsibilitiesProvide leadership to continuously improve a culture of safetyBe a strategic thinker and have a proven track record of operational excellence, including utilization of lean manufacturing techniques and tools.Coordinate the hiring and training of direct employees, including headcount planning and performance management.Oversee production; coordinate with internal & external contacts to ensure fulfillment of customer orders.Involve production, maintenance, quality, engineering, and materials personnel in a team approach to problem solving and continuous improvement.Drive the 5S deployment throughout the facility.Leadership in the use of quality systems and use of lean manufacturing techniques and tools to drive continuous improvement.Be a leader and motivator in a productive and collaborative working environment.Have a good working knowledge of and implement world-class manufacturing practices.Be enthusiastic, hard-working, and have a can-do attitude.Supervise, develop, and coach production supervisors and line leaders, ensuring that they contribute to company objectives.Foster creativity and innovation within the manufacturing team.Coordinate the hiring and training of direct employees, including headcount planning and performance management.Involve production, maintenance, quality, engineering, and materials personnel in a team approach to problem solving and continuous improvement.QualificationsMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:S. in a technical or business discipline from an accredited universityAt least ten years’ experience in a production or manufacturing engineering role, including at least five years of supervisory experience.Excellent communication, interpersonal, leadership, and technical skills, particularly with respect to a manufacturing environment.Fully bilingual – English and Spanish and experience with manufacturing in Mexico.Experience with tools such as Lean manufacturing, 6-Sigma tools, SPC, Kanban, 5S, KaizenHistory of increasing responsibilities with proven track record of achieving good results.DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:Experience with high volume assembly operationsGraduate degree in business or a technical disciplinePrevious experience as Materials, Quality, Manufacturing, Production, or Plant Manager.MBA or other master’s degreeLos datos personales y sensibles recabados por Ensambles Hyson, S.A. de C.V. serán utilizados para cumplimiento del negocio y será compartido bajo los términos requeridos por ley.
