We are looking for a detail-oriented, organized 3PL Claims Specialist who will investigate, evaluate, and resolve freight-related claims and ensure accuracy and timely settlements with carriers. Key duties include managing claim documentation, coordinating with the logistics department, accounting, and carriers, and recovering financial losses.Key ResponsibilitiesInvestigate, manage and track freight claims, which can include damages, shortage, temperature issues, loss, etc.Manage the entire claims process from intake to resolution.Gather documents like PODs, BOLs, invoices, and photos to support claims.Cross-functional CollaborationCommunicate with carriers, customers, and our internal team to resolve issues.Ensure the accuracy of customer data / claim filing and protect the company’s financial interests.NegotiationReview carrier responses and negotiate settlements with carriers to recover losses or resolve billing discrepancies.Data and ReportingAnalyze claims data to identify trends, patterns, or anomalies, and generate reports for management.RequirementsEducation & ExperienceBachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).1–3 years of experience handling freight, cargo, or transportation claims within a logistics or 3PL environment.Familiarity with freight documentation such as BOL, POD, and carrier invoices.Experience communicating and negotiating directly with carriers and shippers to resolve claim disputes.Working knowledge of domestic and cross-border shipping processes (U.S.–Mexico preferred).Experience collaborating with accounting and logistics teams to reconcile claim settlements and recover losses.Skills & CharacteristicsStrong attention to detail, problem-solving, and communication skills are critical to success in this role.Comfortable juggling multiple tasks and deadlines.Proficient in logistics software and experienced with supply chain management systems, along with strong Excel skills.Excellent analytical skills to evaluate claims data, identify root causes, and recommend preventive actions.Highly organized and methodical in managing documentation and claim records from intake to closure.About UsWe are looking for a detail-oriented, organized 3PL Claims Specialist who will investigate, evaluate, and resolve freight-related claims and ensure accuracy and timely settlements with carriers.
