Position Summary Quality Engineer will work closely with the Quality Manager, Plant Managers and hourly employees to maintain and improve business systems. The role is responsible for planning, implementing and coordinating corrective, preventive and technical controls of processes and products. Responsibilities Develop and maintain systems to establish standards relating to activities and products. Develop and maintain systems to measure performance against established standards. Monitor performance according to agreed standards and take necessary action to communicate, advise and assist. Monitor and apply standards created by external bodies and integrate them within internal quality management systems. Establish and implement communication strategy for improvement and awareness of quality issues across all departments. Report on changes in standards and on performance against standards. Liaise with quality management and standards bodies (e.g. ISO, TL, Government Departments, HSE). Liaise with customers and suppliers where necessary. Assist in root‑cause identification and develop/implement effective corrective and preventive methods. Participate in Product and Process development teams and actively participate in cross‑functional work teams. Assist in the development of Product/Process Quality and Inspection plans, applying statistical techniques to reduce errors and monitor critical to quality processes. Lead continuous improvement programs. Demonstrate ethics and integrity. Communicate effectively with all levels of the organization. Apply analytical, problem‑solving and decision‑making skills. Be action‑oriented, seeking opportunities and solving problems. Be detail oriented and complete tasks in a timely manner. Work with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word. Qualifications A four‑year degree in Engineering or a related field. Minimum 3 years experience in Quality Control & Assurance area. Fluency in English and Spanish (read, write, speak). Availability to work night shift. Familiar with assembly and manufacturing processes, engineering drawings and specifications. Ability to work in a large global corporate structure. Self‑starter, strong commitment to excellence. Proficiency in Microsoft Office; advanced Excel skills. Desirable experience using MRP or Enterprise systems in manufacturing. Familiar with electrical schematics. Knowledge of quality improvement methodologies and related statistical tools and techniques. Knowledge of ISO 9000 series quality system standards. Knowledge of core tools APQP, PPAP, FMEA, Control Plan, SCP & MSA. Strong communication, presentation and interpersonal skills. Education & Certifications ASQ Certification in Quality Engineering is preferred. Physical & Environmental Demands No Special Physical Requirements.
