Are you passionate about precision, innovation, and continuous improvement?Join ConMet and play a key role in shaping the future of aluminum casting excellence .As a Tooling Superintendent , you will lead the design, maintenance, and optimization of tooling systems used in the production of high-performance aluminum components for the heavy-duty transportation industry. You'll collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure quality, efficiency, and reliability across every stage of the tooling lifecycle.Lead the development and maintenance of molds, dies, and fixtures for aluminum foundry operations.Drive tooling improvement projects to enhance process capability and reduce downtime.Coordinate with engineering, production, and maintenance teams to ensure dimensional accuracy and performance.Oversee supplier relationships for tooling fabrication and repairs, ensuring cost and quality targets are met.Strong background in tooling engineering within aluminum casting or machining environments.Proven leadership skills in managing technical teams and projects.Experience with CAD/CAM software, CNC machining, and mold flow analysis.Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering , Manufacturing Engineering , Tool Design Engineering , Metallurgical Engineering , or a related technical field.Minimum 7–10 years of experience in tooling, mold design, or tool room supervision in aluminum foundry, die-casting, or machining operations .Deep understanding of die-casting tooling , core & cavity design , venting and cooling systems , and parting line optimization .Familiar with Pro/E, SolidWorks, CATIA, or NX for 3D design and CAM software for simulations.Experience implementing FMEA , Control Plans , and APQP methodologies.Foundry Processes:Solid understanding of low-pressure and gravity casting , molten metal behavior , thermal control , and die maintenance .Experience in tool life management , preventive maintenance , and root cause analysis of tooling failures.You'll be part of a team that values creativity, collaboration, and continuous learning—driving projects that make a tangible impact on product performance and customer experience.A division of Amsted Industries, has been advancing the commercial vehicle industry since 1964.
