OverviewJoin to apply for the Test Development Engineer role at Aptiv.Your roleThe Test Development Engineer on our team shall be responsible for launching innovative automotive products. Aptiv designs and manufactures Infotainment, Advanced Safety, and Cockpit Electronics systems for leading OEMs worldwide. You’ll work with the Manufacturing Development Team to develop and implement test solutions for the introduction of new products.In your daily job you will:Develop advanced functional test and product programming and develop hardware & software solutions for global manufacturing sitesDevelop test software building blocks which are globally reusable across product lines across the sitesResearch test equipment & fixture suppliers, develop standard statement of work templates, and provide equipment costing information for globally sourced equipment solutionsWork in cooperation with product development engineering competencies to ensure our designs are optimized for test and programmingDevelop standard practices and procedures which are followed by the global Mfg. Test Engineering organizationDevelop and administer test-related training materials and classes for the Mfg. Test Engineering organizationYour backgroundKey skills and competencies for succeeding in this role are:3 years of experience in test development for automotive electronics or related industries (Medical, Aerospace) on New Program Introduction (NPI)Bachelor degree in Electronics, Mechatronics, Systems; knowledge of analog & digital electronicsProficient software development skills in one or more of the following: National Instruments LabVIEW, NI LabWindows CVI, NI TestStand, C++, CKnowledge of board-level programming for microcontrollers and memoriesKnowledge of automotive communication protocols such as CAN, LIN, LVDS, FlexRay, BroadR ReachKnowledge of Six Sigma and statistical methodsStrong problem-solving capabilityAbility to work in a global network environmentEnergetic, self-motivated, and proactive work styleEnglish fluency (required)Why join usYou can grow at Aptiv.
