Public Relations Specialist - CI Group CI Group is a leading media and advertising firm based in New York, known for managing high‑profile projects like the CIBook, which is set to make an enduring impact on the global stage. We are looking for a dynamic Public Relations Specialist to elevate CI Group's media presence and manage communications with high‑profile contributors, media partners, and global audiences. This role is crucial for maintaining and enhancing the company's reputation, making it ideal for an experienced PR professional ready to take on a high‑impact position. Position Overview The Public Relations Specialist will develop and execute PR strategies to maximize media exposure, engage with high‑profile participants, and build CI Group's reputation as an innovative media leader. This role requires someone who is skilled in media relations, content creation, event planning, and strategic communications, with a proven track record of building brand awareness. This is a contractor position Key Responsibilities Media Relations & Outreach Build and maintain relationships with media contacts, high‑profile participants, press in the media and advertising industries worldwide Pitch stories and secure media coverage in top‑tier outlets to enhance CI Group's visibility and credibility. Manage incoming media inquiries and act as the primary point of contact for press‑related requests and high‑profile participants Content Development & Communications Create compelling press releases, media kits, and promotional materials to communicate CI Group's mission and project highlights. Oversee content creation for social media channels both personal and business, ensuring messaging aligns with CI Group's brand voice and objectives. Develop and distribute newsletters and media updates to keep participants informed on key company developments. Event Coordination Plan and execute media events, press conferences, and VIP gatherings, particularly around high‑profile projects like the CIBook. Coordinate logistics and manage event communications to ensure successful event execution and maximum media coverage. Cultivate relationships with influencers and industry figures to drive engagement and brand alignment at events. Engagement & Contributor Relations Serve as the primary point of contact for CIBook contributors, managing communications and keeping them informed of project updates. Facilitate interviews and media opportunities for contributors, building relationships that enhance the credibility and influence of the CIBook project. Develop a strategy for engaging partners in alignment with CI Group's goals. Crisis Management & Reputation Control Develop and implement crisis communication plans as needed, ensuring CI Group's reputation is effectively managed in high‑pressure situations. Monitor media coverage and public sentiment, proactively addressing potential issues or miscommunications to protect the brand's image. Required Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, or a related field 3+ years of public relations experience, ideally in media, advertising, or a related industry Proven track record in securing media coverage and managing high‑profile media relations Excellent writing and editing skills for creating press releases, social media content, and media briefs Strong verbal communication and networking skills, with experience handling VIP clients and contributors Ability to work in a FAST‑paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously Proficiency in media monitoring and PR software (e.g., Cision, Meltwater) Preferred Qualifications Certification in Digital Marketing or Social Media Strategy Experience with high‑profile events and VIP client relations Expertise in crisis communications and reputation management Proficiency in graphic design software (e.g., Canva, Adobe Spark) for creating PR visuals Bilingual (English/Spanish) to manage international media relationships Pay: From $20,****** per month Work Location: In person #J-18808-Ljbffr
