Position Overview We are looking to hire a Tax Analyst II in a hybrid capacity (3 days in the office, 2 days remote) for our site in Mexico City. What We Bring To The Table Competitive compensation Career growth opportunities Flexibility and Support for Diverse Life Stages and Choices We prioritize our communities and the planet we share Wellbeing programs including Physical, Mental and Financial wellness Overview The Tax Analyst plays a crucial role in supporting the organization's tax‑related responsibilities, including Federal and multi‑state tax return compliance, FAS 109 quarterly and year‑end financial analysis, and tax audits. This position assists with effective tax rate analysis, tax planning projects, and ensures adherence to local, state and federal regulations. Key Responsibilities Responsible for multi‑jurisdictional tax compliance, including income tax, VAT, withholding VAT and income tax. Assist the compliance reporting requirements, maintain tax reporting processes to ensure Sarbanes‑Oxley and tax authorities' compliance. Prepare, calculate estimated tax payments, submit payment requests and complete tax filings. Research, analyze and document tax issues, providing recommendations and conclusions to support the organization's tax strategy reviewed and approved by the Accounting Manager, GBS Finance Director and Corporate Tax department. Prepare tax work papers and the preparation of federal income tax returns, VAT, withholding income tax and VAT, manage the tax return processing function (the process after completion of the return through filing, including preparation of completed paper or electronic tax forms). Retain, store and retrieve prepared returns and supporting information, and provide certified delivery to tax authorities. All of the work is supervised, approved and advised by the Accounting Manager, GBS Finance Director and external advisors. Responsible for fiscal depreciation and inflationary adjustment. Prepare and submit the monthly VAT returns and recoveries for LATAM entities supervised and approved by the Accounting Manager and GBS Finance Director. Prepare company year‑end tax reporting for local and corporate purposes supervised and approved by the Accounting Manager and GBS Finance Director. Maintain tax knowledge management, establishing and maintaining comprehensive tax department files (paper and electronic) consistent with business requirements, legal requirements imposed by revenue authorities and document retention policies related to planning, compliance, financial reporting and audit defense. Assist with gathering information to respond to audit requests. Analyze accounts for the purposes of tax return preparation and reconciliation in the Black Line system. Assist in preparation of transfer pricing documentation. Prepare quarterly and annual income tax forecast and income tax provision supervised and approved by the Accounting Manager and GBS Finance Director. Prepare and support annual income tax report (Dictamen Fiscal and ISSIF) supervised and approved by the Accounting Manager and GBS Finance Director. Required Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Business Administration or related field. CPA preferred. 3+ years of tax experience in current roles, with some experience in public accounting. Thorough knowledge of tax area activities, formal training and experience required to perform the job effectively. Developed communication skills to exchange sometimes complex information. Constant effective communication with supervisor, coworkers and other professionals, particularly non‑tax financial personnel responsible for data used in tax reporting, payments of taxes and transactions with tax consequences (within the company: Purchasing, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Treasury, Subsidiaries and their controlling persons; outside the company: outside consultants, auditors, and tax authority employees). Excellent problem‑solving, analytical and organizational skills. Excellent interaction, relationship management (oral and written) and customer service skills. Experience in VAT recoveries. Experience managing Differed Tax and SIPRED. Knowledge of SAT Website and declarations. Understanding of how this position integrates with others in the finance team and sub‑functions. Familiarity with SAP and CorpTax. Excellent Microsoft Excel skills. Solid understanding of database applications. Advanced English (spoken and written).
