Job Summary As a Materials Planner, you will analyze the supply plan and compare it to actual orders, determine materials to requisition through Oracle, interpret the plan to forecast requirements, and ensure production and customer needs are met. You will optimize inventory levels, balancing supply and demand to minimize excess or shortages, maintain accurate inventory records, and directly impact the efficiency and cost‑effectiveness of procurement and inventory processes. Key Tasks & Responsibilities (Essential Functions) Submit material requisitions based on supply plan information. Maintain Kanban loops updated using STD Deviation Kanban Formula. Maintain MRP/KB items within required safety stock. Interpret supply plan material requests and analyze data related to usage and inventory levels. Create ISO/internal orders and monitor delivery. Manage planning categories (MRP/KB/DSY) and inter‑division sourcing rules; maintain inter‑division parameters. Decide on pull‑in/push‑out requisitions based on the supply plan. Track receiving of material on hold (quarantine) and ISO. Phase in/phase down/phase out – engineering changes. Product introductions, product transfers, ECO’s. Participate in inventory reduction initiatives. Administer installed rack capacity. Maintain inventory levels within a healthy range. Develop talent and provide leadership. Skills and Minimum Experience Required Procurement / planning knowledge Lean manufacturing knowledge Kanban / MRP knowledge Supply chain (logistics / import / export) knowledge Executing abilities Optimizing inventory with service considerations Data maintenance knowledge Experience (minimum experience required) 3 to 5 years Preferred Education (type of degree) We value diversity and are an equal‑opportunity organization.
