We at Therma-Tru are currently seeking a Manufacturing Process Engineer, in our high-volume H. Matamoros, Tamaulipas, Mexico Glass plant. Responsibilities As the Manufacturing Process Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and implementing equipment systems and procedures used in manufacturing facilities. Test and monitor equipment, update current system processes and perform risk assessments. Experience in the development, implementation, and maintenance of manufacturing processes. Design new production and test equipment/tools. Establish quality controls for manufacturing systems. Maintain contact with suppliers. Conduct the analysis and quoting process for new equipment necessary for the launch of new production lines, as well as proper installation. Create processes and procedures. Optimize productivity by designing, implementing, and testing new procedures. Evaluate existing manufacturing processes and workflows to identify areas that could benefit from changes and improvements. Reduce the generation of waste. Follow up to corrective action systems. Assess compliance with applicable safety and quality standards. Development of savings projects. Design and validate packaging for products. Development of ergonomic improvement projects. Design quality assurance systems. Layout updates. Participate in brainstorming sessions and cross-departmental meetings. Establish an effective and efficient work sequence. Devise new solutions to existing manufacturing problems. Contribute to departmental efforts by accomplishing related tasks as needed. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering. Strong analytical and communication skills. Fluent in English. Strong written and verbal communication skills. MS Office experience. Experience with AutoCAD/ Minitab. Knowledge of the 8 wastes of lean. Ability to interact effectively with others in the workplace. Proven work experience as a process engineer. Great analytical skills. Strong attention to detail.
