HMO Coverage for eligible locations Permanent work from home Immediate hiring Steady freelance job We are seeking a highly capable Senior Accountant / Finance Lead to serve as the right-hand partner to the VP of Finance at a growing SaaS company. This role is hands-on and operational, with ownership over day-to-day accounting, billing operations, and month-end close. The ideal candidate is comfortable in a fast-moving environment, can operate independently, and can eventually help manage and scale a small accounting team. Job Highlights Work Arrangement: Work from home Side Note: Since this is a permanent work-from-home position and the arrangement is that of an “Independent Contractor,” the selected candidates must have their own computer and internet connection. They will handle their own benefits and taxes. The professional fees are on hourly rates and the rate depends on your performance in the application process. Responsibilities Own day-to-day accounting operations in QuickBooks Online, including journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end close Lead monthly close process and ensure timely, accurate financials Manage Accounts Receivable, including invoicing, collections, and AR aging discipline Manage Accounts Payable workflows and vendor payments Support SaaS billing operations, including invoicing, discounts, credits, and billing adjustments Work with modern billing systems (Tabs experience not required, but prior billing engine experience is essential) Apply SaaS accounting best practices, including revenue recognition under ASC 606 Partner closely with the VP of Finance on process improvement, cleanup, and scaling finance operations Help document accounting processes and SOPs Over time, assist with managing or mentoring junior accounting staff Requirements Strong hands-on experience with QuickBooks Online (required) Prior experience in a SaaS or subscription-based business Familiarity with billing engines and best practices around invoicing, credits, and discounts Working knowledge of ASC 606 revenue recognition Experience managing AR/AP in a growing company Comfortable operating in a lean environment with evolving processes Strong attention to detail and ownership mindset Prior experience leading or mentoring junior staff is a plus What Success Looks Like Improved AR collections and visibility Reduced day-to-day finance burden on leadership A scalable accounting foundation that supports growth and PE-level reporting Reminder Apply directly to the link provided; you will be redirected to BruntWork’s Career Site.
