The on prem systems primarily use hyperconverged infrastructure using Nutanix and backup systems using Rubrik. This engineer also should have experience with security and systems monitoring products. This position also leads and project manages smaller projects and technology implementations. This postion also supports cloud server technologies primarily used in Microsoft Azure. This position requires server support and administration of MS Windows and Red Hat Linux (many components of the SAP implementation use Red Hat Linux).What will you do as a SERVER ENGINEER II at Dawn Foods?Install, configure, and maintain server hardware and software: Ensuring servers are set up correctly and running smoothly.Monitor server performance and troubleshoot issues: Keeping an eye on server health and resolving any problems that arise.Perform regular security audits and apply necessary updates: Ensuring servers are secure and up-to-date.Develop and implement server policies and procedures: Creating guidelines for server management and usage.Collaborate with network engineers and other IT staff: Working together to maintain the overall IT infrastructure.Manage server backups and disaster recovery plans: Preparing for potential data loss scenarios.Analyze system logs and identify potential issues: Reviewing logs to spot and address problems early.Use automation solutions to reduce manual effort on system maintenance and administration.Proficiency in operating systems including Windows, macOS, and Linux.Experience with hypervisor technologies like VMware.Experience with hyperconverged technologies similar to Nutanix.Experience with backup technologies like Rubrik, Veeam, or DATTO.Experience with monitoring platforms like SolarWinds and Dynatrace.Experience with server security platforms.Experience in cloud server management using Microsoft Azure.Experience with automation solutions like Ansible.Skills and QualificationsTechnical Expertise: Proficiency in Office 365 suite, PowerShell scripting, Azure AD, Viva Engage, Intune, Copilot, SharePoint Online, and Exchange Online. On-Premises Exchange skills. Skills with management of Microsoft servers and clients. Skills with administration and support of AI products like Microsoft Copilot. Manages email security solutions that support DMARC/DKIM.Server administration of Windows and Linux.Knowledge in automation solutions similar to Ansible.Knowledge in asset management solutions similar to Lansweeper.Industry Knowledge: Understanding IT security best practices and compliance requirements.What does it take to be a SERVER ENGINEER II at Dawn FoodsBachelor’s degree in computer scienceAdvanced English is essential for the roleMicrosoft or Linux certifications (MCSA, MCP, etc.)Training or certifications in areas like VMware, Nutanix, Azure, or others2 years in management and support of server technologiesProblem-solving: Strong analytical skills to diagnose and resolve issues efficiently.Communication: Clear communication skills for collaborating with team members and stakeholders.Project Management: Ability to plan, execute, and oversee small projects or technology rollouts.Collaboration: Working effectively with telephony providers, third-party vendors, and other IT teams.Flexibility: Willingness to work flexible hours and meet deadlines.Schedule: This is a Monday–Friday day position, 60% office - 40% home office.
