They value professionalism, accountability, and a positive team-oriented culture.Job OverviewThe Financial Controller is responsible for overseeing the company’s accounting operations and ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of financial reporting. This role manages the accounting team, maintains internal controls, ensures compliance with accounting standards and regulations, and provides financial insights to support business decision-making.ResponsibilitiesOversee all accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and fixed assetsEnsure timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statementsManage month-end and year-end close processesEnsure compliance with GAAP/IFRS and internal accounting policiesReview journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reportsInternal Controls & ComplianceDesign, implement, and maintain effective internal controlsEnsure compliance with regulatory, tax, and statutory requirementsCoordinate and manage external audits and auditor relationshipsSupport SOX compliance and risk management initiatives (if applicable)Budgeting, Forecasting & AnalysisAssist with preparation of annual budgets and financial forecastsMonitor financial performance and analyze variancesProvide financial analysis and recommendations to managementSupport cash flow planning and working capital managementTax & Treasury OversightOversee preparation and filing of income, sales, payroll, and other taxesCoordinate with external tax advisors and consultantsEnsure proper revenue recognition and expense matchingSystems & Process ImprovementMaintain and optimize accounting systems and ERP platformsLead process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracyDevelop and document accounting policies and proceduresManage, mentor, and develop accounting staffSet performance goals and conduct evaluationsCollaborate with cross-functional teams and senior leadershipAct as a key financial advisor to the executive teamQualifications, Skills, and Key CompetenciesRequired (Non-Negotiable):Impeccable spoken and written English (near-native fluency required)Ability to work 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM Pacific Standard Time consistentlyVery upbeat, positive, and professional phone presencePrior experience in accounting, more specifically as a controllerStrong organizational skills and attention to detailComfortable using CRM systems, accounting software, and standard office toolsMust be on camera and presentable at all times during working hours, as if working in an in-office environmentComfortable working in a highly collaborative, live-communication settingReliable internet connection and a quiet, professional workspacePreferred/Nice to Have:Experience in home services, construction, trades, or field service industriesExperience working remotely with a U.S.-based companyAbility to manage high call volume and shifting priorities calmlyUS Tax preparationKey Attributes for SuccessReliable, punctual, and self-motivatedClear, confident communicator who enjoys talking with customersCalm under pressure and solution-orientedStrong sense of ownership and accountabilityTeam player with a “can-do” attitude5 paid sick days per year, available after a 90-day probationary period5 additional PTO days per year begin accruing after one full year of employmentU.S. holidays observedLong-term, stable full-time positionOpportunity for performance-based raises and growthSupportive, family-oriented company cultureCandidates supply their own equipment; technology stipend available (one-time setup stipend or modest monthly stipend, to be discussed) #J-18808-Ljbffr
