OverviewJoin Our Team We are currently recruiting a Procurement Operations & Strategic Sourcing Manager to join our team and contribute to key projects in a dynamic and collaborative environment. This role is part of a global team working toward common goals. We operate as one company, across all locations, with shared responsibility and clear accountability.ResponsibilitiesSupport procurement operations in the country, including implementation of best practice in terms of the S2P process including supplier onboarding & management, alignment to policy in terms of catalogues, RFPs and automatic POsIdentify opportunities to deliver year over year savings in terms of recurrent spend, by consolidating suppliers or spend across the Atlantica global organization (where possible)Manage supplier issues including order discrepancies, delivery issues or invoice mismatches, liaising between suppliers, finance and business units to resolve issues quickly.Manage implementation of MRO, Chemicals and other recurrent spend cost categories in Mexico, supporting Operations with their day to day requirements including full procurement support for major and routine maintenance events and capital investmentsDevelop and execute category strategies and partnerships for major equipment - BESS, Solar PV (modules, inverters, batteries, transformers), in coordination with Major Equipment Category ManagerSupport strategic sourcing and category management approach to EPC contracts for construction of new growth projects in Mexico, working with EPC Category Manager.Conduct market analysis, supplier benchmarking, and risk assessments to identify sourcing opportunities and support business growth in Mexico.Support supplier pre-qualification, qualification, and performance management, using quantifiable assessment tools.Support regional alignment with South America supply and procurement initiatives.Lead complex supply and EPC contract negotiations (MSA, LNTP, framework agreements) to secure optimal terms, compliance, and risk mitigation.Draft, implement, and manage supply agreements for main construction services and key equipment.Work with asset managers, engineering, construction, and legal teams to define technical specifications, contract structures, and project requirements.Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to ensure timely delivery and issue resolution.Performance Management & ReportingMaintain accurate data in the ERP / S2P process to be able to maintain and manage supplier, contract and spend master data and KPIsDevelop procurement KPIs, dashboards, and category plans to monitor performance against targets.Drive continuous improvement, cost-saving, and contractual optimization initiatives.Education and CertificationsBachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.Experience and Technical Skills7+ years of procurement, category management, or strategic sourcing experience, preferably in BESS, Solar PV, or renewable projects.Proven track record in contract negotiation, supplier management, and procurement of complex equipment/services in an international environment.Strong knowledge of renewable energy technologies, especially BESS and Solar PV.Experience in managing procurement for large-scale construction or energy infrastructure projects.Key CompetenciesStrategic Sourcing & Category Management.Supplier Relationship Management.Negotiation & Commercial Acumen.Risk Management & Compliance.Project Management Awareness.Data-Driven Decision Making.Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.Fluent in English and Spanish.Company CultureWe believe in a culture of trust, shared goals, and accountability.
