They are expected to have a strong understanding of data modeling, extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes. The Engineer will work closely with business users, IT teams, and other stakeholders to identify reporting and analytics requirements, as well as to ensure data accuracy and consistency.ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, implement and maintain data models within SAP BW 7.xDevelop, test, and optimize extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes to extract data from various SAP and non‑SAP sourcesImplement and support BW queries, reports, and dashboards using SAP Business Explorer (BEx) tools and other front‑end reporting tools, such as SAP Analytics Cloud, Tableau and Power BIEnsure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity by implementing and maintaining robust data validation and reconciliation processes.Well versed in project management lifecycle from requirements gathering, implementation, testing, documentation to long‑term supportDocument system configurations, data models, ETL processes, and reporting solutionsCollaboration with business stakeholders, Business Relationship Managers within IT and other IT members on complex business requirementsProvides consulting in support of business during M&A's and projects on Celanese data standardMonitor and troubleshoot SAP BW system performance, implementing optimizations and tuning as neededMaintains compliance with audit controls, SOX controls, internal policies and business requirements.Collaborate with the SAP Basis team to apply patches, updates, and other system maintenance activities as requiredQualificationsBachelor degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, Engineering, or related fieldSAP BW: Deep understanding of SAP BW data modeling, ETL processes, and reporting tools such as InfoCubes, DataStore Objects (DSO), MultiProviders, and CompositeProvider.SAP Business Explorer (BEx): Proficiency in designing and developing queries, reports, and dashboards using BEx Query Designer, BEx Analyzer, and BEx Web Application DesignerSAP HANA: Experience with SAP HANA data modeling, including calculation views, attribute views, and analytical views, as well as integration with SAP BWABAP programming: Experience with ABAP coding, debugging, and performance optimization, particularly in the context of SAP BW data extraction and transformation processesSQL: Proficiency in writing SQL queries for data extraction, manipulation, and analysisData integration: Experience with data integration tools and techniques, such as SAP Data Services, SAP Landscape Transformation (SLT), or other ETL toolsData visualization tools: Familiarity with other front‑end reporting and data visualization tools, such as SAP Analytics Cloud, Tableau, or Power BIPerformance optimization: Knowledge of performance tuning and optimization techniques in SAP BW and HANA environments, including indexing, partitioning, and aggregationsData preprocessing: Experience with data cleaning and preprocessing techniques, including handling missing values, outliers, and data transformation.SAP Basis: Basic understanding of SAP Basis concepts, such as system administration, transport management, and applying patches and updatesAlteryx: Proficiency in using Alteryx Designer for data preparation, blending, and transformation, as well as creating custom workflows and analytic applications.
