As a Purchasing Assistant for the Amazon Fulfillment Center (FC) team, you will support the site’s procurement operation responsibilities, including forecasting, inventory management, purchase order creation, management and monitoring.

You will also participate in leading supplier management KPI and metrics reporting, as well as developing and working with stakeholders to find and understand deviation and improvement areas. You will provide procurement guidance for the location(s) and alignment with building leadership team to drive efficiencies and improvements in the site. Key job responsibilitiesAlign with the Procurement Operations Manager to provide procurement operations for the building, including: forecasting of non-inventory products, inventory management, non-inventory flow and space models, cycle counts, supplier management, procurement transaction and expediting support,Manage non-inventory receivingDevelop deep knowledge of building Non Inventory items and align with like buildings to drive best practicesManage related KPI to measure, control and benchmark procurement processes including creation of recurring metrics reportsSupport relationship development across the building and networkAlign with Internal customers, Finance and Procurement Operations to understand budgetary targets by building to develop an agreed method of measuring and defining savings, value and other category metricsAssist into building the category metrics model based on input from the category team to track and monitor performance to the category strategyTo measure actual vs planned savings and advice team of trends, escal issues and own action plansManage and maintain supplier scorecardsSupport the procurement operations and category management teamsBasic QualificationsBachelor’s degree1+ years of Microsoft Office products and applications experience2+ years of procurement experienceKnowledge of Excel at a basic level (e.g., UX navigation, math & logical functions, lookup functions, etc.)Knowledge of Excel at an intermediate level (e.g., pivot tables & charts, multiple criteria lookups, nested logical/IF formulas, data cleansing, array formulas, etc.)Excel IntermediatePreferred Qualifications1+ years of project coordination experienceSpeak, write, and read fluently in English, and have the ability to take direction in EnglishOur inclusive culture empowers Amazonians to deliver the best results for our customers.
