About Team Focusing on customer, associate and business needs, this team works with Walmart International, which includes more than 5,200 retail units, operating in 23 countries such as Canada, Central America, Chile, China, India, Mexico and South Africa to name a few. What You’ll Do Design, develop, and maintain backend services and APIs to support Walmart’s digital experiences. Collaborate with product managers, front‑end engineers, and other stakeholders to deliver impactful features and solutions. Build scalable and reliable systems that handle large volumes of traffic and data. Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code while following engineering best practices. Debug and troubleshoot issues in distributed systems across environments. Contribute to performance optimization, security improvements, and system resilience. Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers. What You’ll Bring 2 years of experience in Java technologies, Distributed systems and large‑scale application development and design. Hands on experience Spring Boot, REST, Kafka, Cassandra, React Experience with a containerization technology and Microservices Well versed in CI/CD and exposure to DevOps practices, and monitoring tools. Strong adherence to SLDC process and Scrum/agile methodologies Work with Java, Multithreading, Data Structures, Algorithm, Design Patterns and develop robust high‑performance and scalable applications. Flexible, hybrid work: We use a hybrid way of working that is primarily in office coupled with virtual when not onsite.
