Job Title Remote Senior Accountant & Consultant (100% Work From Home) Location Remote from Latin America Position Type Full-time Schedule Monday to Friday, business hours Eastern Time Salary $3, ,000 USD / month paid via direct deposit or Wise. The Senior Accountant & Consultant leads accounting operations while providing strategic financial and management consulting to entrepreneurial and family-owned businesses. The role blends technical accounting expertise with advisory support—helping clients build scalable financial systems, improve operational performance, manage cash flow, and prepare for transactions, fundraising, or strategic transitions. Responsibilities Oversee full-cycle accounting : GL oversight, journal entries, AR / AP, payroll coordination, and month-end close. Prepare and review financial statements, performance reports, and cash flow analysis. Develop budgets and forecasts; perform variance analysis and provide actionable insights. Evaluate, implement, and optimize accounting systems, automation tools, and workflow efficiencies. Strengthen internal controls, accounting policies, and financial reporting processes. Serve as a strategic advisor—translating financial data into recommendations around profitability, cost structure, capital planning, and operational improvements. Support transaction-related work including financial modeling, pro forma development, investor / readiness preparation, and buy- / sell-side diligence. Communicate clearly with business owners, executives, and external partners to guide financial strategy and decision-making. Mentor junior staff and oversee delegated accounting tasks to ensure quality and timely delivery. Lead client engagements and act as a trusted point of contact. Diagnose operational bottlenecks and recommend process improvements. Guide clients through growth phases—systems scaling, policy development, and financial infrastructure build-out. Provide light CFO-level guidance where needed, including cash flow planning, pricing analysis, and scenario modeling. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA strongly preferred. 5+ years progressive accounting or consulting experience; fractional or outsourced accounting experience a plus. Deep understanding of US GAAP and financial reporting best practices. Strong Excel and financial modeling skills; comfort with dashboards, automations, and integrated financial systems. Consulting mindset—ability to diagnose issues, propose solutions, and manage client expectations. Excellent communication skills; ability to explain complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders. Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple client engagements simultaneously.
