Direct message the job poster from Nexteer Automotive MéxicoSenior HR Business Partner | Talent ManagementThis position is responsible for developing and improving machine and process designs, implementing new technologies, and transferring lessons learned to achieve optimal cost and quality in the manufacturing process.OverviewThis role focuses on leading manufacturing process design and improvement, implementing equipment and tooling, and ensuring cost and quality targets are met in the manufacturing environment.ResponsibilitiesSpecify, develop, validate and install new equipment and tools.Lead the design, development, and improvement of manufacturing processes for an assigned area.Utilize project management skills to plan and execute assigned projects; manage budget as required.Understand & lead safety / ergonomic requirements.Implement manufacturing system best practices and common systems globally.Lead the implementation, support, and provide continuous improvement of lean and agile manufacturing systems.Estimate lead time and cost of capital equipment.Estimate lead time and cost of tooling, molds, and special equipment.Develop common manufacturing systems for global implementation.Develop, specify, validate and install new equipment and tools globally.Communicate with all stakeholders, supervisors, engineers, skilled trades, etc. to meet customer needs.QualificationsDEGREE: BACHELORS MAJOR: Plastics / Mechanical / or MANUFACTURING ENGINEERINGWorking Knowledge with plastic machine, tool, and die design.US VISA and Travel availability.5-10 years previous experience with plastic processing, tool and equipment build or equivalent preferred.Working knowledge of injection molding process, mold machines, and molds.Working knowledge of plastic joining operations such as hot plate welding, sonic welding, and spin welding.Working knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, and electrical controls.High level of analytical skills.Knowledge of GD&T.Ability and willingness to travel globally to Nexteer locations and supplier locations.Knowledge of Quality Network, Shanin / Six Sigma preferred.Knowledge of TS-16949 and ISO-14001 preferred.Previous experience in manufacturing industrial product, tool or design engineering, and AUTO CAD preferred.Other informationSeniority level: AssociateEmployment type: Full-timeJob function: Engineering, Project Management, and ManufacturingIndustries: Motor Vehicle Manufacturing and Manufacturing #J-18808-Ljbffr
