Job Description: The Statutory Accounting Analyst is responsible for preparing local statutory financials, filing statutory accounts, and supporting any required statutory audits for each Mars legal entity within the LATAM region. This role provides the transparency necessary for effective decision‑making and sign‑off on statutory filings and audits, while proactively supporting digital efficiency efforts for the Statutory function. The Analyst may also take on ad‑hoc projects and/or functional support as needed. What are we looking for? University degree or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting is a plus. 3 to 5 years of accounting experience in a FMCG/MNC environment. What will be your key responsibilities? Statutory Accounting Ensure ERP or other accounting data capture tools are set up and functional to comply with local statutory accounting requirements. Identify and accurately map adjustments to USGAAP required to comply with IAS and/or local statutory accounting requirements across the LATAM entity scope. Prepare statutory financial statements, trial balance, and reporting packages for all supported entities, including data extraction from ERPs, data review, analysis, year‑end adjustments, and disclosure notes. Propose and execute changes to local statutory accounting processes for efficiency and standardization. Statutory External Audit Support the LATAM Statutory COE Lead in audit planning, cost reporting against audit budget, and managing local statutory audits efficiently. Provide full support to auditors for both interim and final audits, including coordination of information, evidence collection, and working with MGS/Controllers as appropriate.
