Your Purpose We are seeking a seasoned Fraud Strategy Senior Manager to lead our Strategy & Innovation vertical and shape Bitso’s long‑term Trust & Safety evolution. This role is pivotal to Bitso’s future, ensuring that fraud prevention becomes an embedded, proactive partner in product development—driving security decisions early, not as a late‑stage reviewer. You will design and execute a unified fraud risk posture across Retail, Bitso Business and new product launches, reducing fragmentation and enabling scalable, secure growth. Your work will define how Bitso prevents, detects and mitigates fraud in 2026 and beyond. Reports To Director of Fraud Prevention. Who You Are Proven English fluency (written and verbal). Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Economics, Finance, Data‑related fields or Law. 7+ years in Fraud Prevention, Financial Crime or Enterprise Risk within fintech, payments, banking or tech. Demonstrated experience driving fraud strategy, not only operational execution. Proven ability to work with Product & Engineering to translate fraud risks into product/technical requirements. Experience leading cross‑functional initiatives or teams, influencing without formal authority. Strong knowledge of transactional risk, mule accounts, scams and AML‑adjacent scenarios, including onboarding risks. Nice to have Experience in crypto, cross‑border payments, e‑commerce or card rails. Familiarity with ML models, decision engines, automation or risk platforms. Prior exposure to Trust & Safety, Governance or control frameworks. Key Skills Strategic thinking: ability to define long‑term fraud posture and execution roadmap. Product & technical fluency: understand system design, data needs, controls and constraints. Stakeholder leadership: ability to influence PMs, Engineers, Data Science, Compliance, Bitso Business and Legal. Structured problem‑solving: convert risks into decisions, mitigations, ownership and timelines. Communication & storytelling: elevate risks clearly to executives and business stakeholders. Innovation mindset: seek efficiencies through automation, tooling and new approaches. What You Will Do Strategy & Roadmap ownership Lead the Strategy & Innovation vertical within Fraud Prevention. Define and execute a long‑term fraud strategy embedded into Bitso’s product roadmap. Build a unified Trust & Safety posture across Retail, Bitso Business and new products. Identify structural risks, gaps and systemic improvements across teams and platforms. Fraud Risk Assessment & Launch readiness Oversee the Fraud Risk Assessment function; ensure every product (existing or new), process or feature (from B2B or Retail) has documented risks and required controls prior to launch. Manage the Fraud Risk team to ensure fraud requirements translate into concrete product/technical actions with clear ownership, timelines and follow‑through. Define and prioritize the fraud tooling, data, automation and scoring roadmap in partnership with ProdTech and Data Science. Innovation, tooling & automation Drive innovation initiatives, including workflow automation, decisioning enhancements and tooling optimization. Benchmark industry best practices and assess emerging technologies relevant to fraud prevention and Trust & Safety. Leadership & Cross‑Functional Alignment Build, lead and develop a high‑performing team, including Risk Assessment Specialists and Product/Risk Program Managers focused on fraud enablement and innovation. Promote a Fraud‑by‑Design culture integrated into product development. Your Team As our Fraud Strategy Senior Manager you will have two direct reports. Research in Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion suggests that individuals may hesitate to apply for jobs if they do not meet all the listed criteria. At Bitso, we value diversity and your unique strengths could be just what we're looking for.
