Syntax has offices worldwide, and partners with Oracle, SAP, AWS, Microsoft, IBM and other global technology leaders.Job Description – SAP P2P Lead (Retail)Position SummaryThe Lead SAP Procure-to-Pay (P2P) – Retail is responsible for leading and delivering SAP P2P solutions tailored to retail business processes. This role acts as a subject matter expert, supporting end-to-end procurement, inventory, and invoice management while ensuring integration with retail operations and finance.Key ResponsibilitiesLead and support end-to-end SAP P2P implementations within retail environments.Analyze business requirements and translate them into SAP P2P functional solutions.Configure and optimize SAP modules related to P2P (MM, Inventory Management, Invoice Verification).Ensure seamless integration between P2P, Retail, and Finance (FI).Support retail-specific processes such as store procurement, vendor management, and indirect purchasing.Collaborate with technical teams to support enhancements, interfaces, and custom developments.Conduct system testing (unit, integration, UAT) and support defect resolution.Prepare and deliver user training, documentation, and knowledge transfer.Provide post-go-live support and continuous process improvements.Act as a trusted advisor to business stakeholders and project teams.Required QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Business, IT, or a related field.7+ years of SAP P2P consulting experience.Strong functional expertise in SAP MM and P2P processes.Solid experience in SAP Retail environments.Experience working with SAP S/4HANA.Strong understanding of procurement, inventory, and invoice processes in retail.Experience integrating SAP MM with FI and retail modules.Excellent communication skills and stakeholder management.Preferred QualificationsExperience with SAP Retail (Article Master, Purchasing for Stores).Knowledge of SAP Ariba integration is a plus.SAP certifications in MM / S/4HANA are desirable.Experience working in global or multi-country retail implementations.Key Skills & CompetenciesDeep functional expertise in P2P and RetailStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsAbility to lead workshops and mentor junior consultantsCustomer-focused and delivery-oriented mindsetComfortable working in Agile or hybrid project modelsWork EnvironmentRetail-focused SAP landscapeCross-functional and global project teamsFast-paced and transformation-driven environmentWhy Syntax?Become a part of our success story and work in a company with exciting innovation projects that are causing a stir across the industry.
