Persohotel International, the leading crew recruitment company for cruise ships in Mexico and Latin America, is on the lookout for passionate and talented Chefs de Partie to join our amazing team 🌟 What You'll Do As a Chef de Partie, you will be an essential part of our culinary brigade, ensuring that our guests receive nothing but the finest dishes. Your role will include: Preparing and presenting high-quality dishes: You will execute a variety of dishes with flair, speed, and creativity, ensuring that every plate meets our high standards. Supervising your team: Lead and inspire a team of cooks, sharing your knowledge and expertise to help them grow and develop their skills. Maintaining kitchen hygiene: You will ensure that all cleanliness and hygiene standards are maintained throughout the kitchen. Collaborating with the head chef: Work closely with the head chef to create exciting menu items and special dishes that will impress guests Managing inventory: Assist with ordering and managing kitchen inventory, making sure we’re always stocked with fresh ingredients. MEXICAN & COSTA RICAN CANDIDATES ONLY What We're Looking For We need someone with passion, creativity, and a solid background in the kitchen. Here’s what we’re hoping you bring to the table: 4+ years of experience: You should have a solid track record working in restaurants or hotels, ideally within high-volume environments. Fluent in English: Communication is key in our dynamic kitchen Being proficient in English will help you collaborate with team members and ensure everything runs smoothly. A love for cooking: We want someone with an unyielding passion for food and the culinary arts, always looking to learn and innovate Strong leadership skills: You should be able to motivate and lead your team while maintaining professionalism and a positive attitude during busy service times. Adaptability & Flexibility: Cruise ship life can be quite the adventure A flexible approach and the ability to handle changing situations will go a long way. Mexican or Costa Rican nationality: Candidates must be residents of Mexico or Costa Rica. Advanced English proficiency: Required for effective communication on the ship. Minimum of 4 years as Chef de Partie: Experience specifically in the role of Chef de Partie is mandatory. Availability for 6-month contracts: You must be able to commit to a 6-month contract.
