Plant Corrosion Engineer - Relocate to Saudi Arabia, Permanent Expat Relocation PackageWe are seeking a Plant Corrosion Engineer to join our Tanajib Gas Plant Department (TGPD) within the Northern Area Gas Operations (NAGO).TGPD processes 3 billion standard cubic feet per day of associated and non-associated gas. The plant products are NGL, Sales Gas and Liquid sulfur.Your primary role is to implement, support and continually improve Tanajib Gas Plant Department inspection corrosion management programs and provide consulting advice in materials ensuring cost effective material selection and corrosion mitigation strategies.Key ResponsibilitiesImplement corrosion management program and on-stream monitoringConduct risk-based inspection based on API-580 methodology and review and approve recommended solutions for coating failures and cathodic protectionParticipate in Hazard and Operability (HAZOP) review sessions and ensure that all issues are addressedManage water treatment program and recommend solutions to overcome challengesReview design packages and validate materials selection based on current code and standardsValidate corrosion controls, loops and damage mechanisms frequentlyAssess feed composition changes and approve recommended solution to assure assets integrityDevelop scope and description of technology items, and lead field implementationDevelop and transfer knowledge about use of coating, CP, corrosion inhibitors and other corrosion controls and best practicesExtract data and draw conclusions from Corrosion Monitoring Technologies and troubleshoot corrosion problems and address root causesPerform the regular review and update on the plant’s units Corrosion Control Documents reflecting any change resulting from plant changes or facility modificationsQualificationsBachelor or Master degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science or Corrosion Science from a recognized programMinimum of 10 years of experience in gas processing in the oil/gas industry and material science and metrology, NDT technology and welding engineeringExperience in running asset integrity programs of petroleum or petrochemical operating facilityCapability to write clear technical reports and address technical issuesExcellent presentation skills to share knowledge with others and present business cases to managementSolid experience with international standards and codes NACE, ASME, API and ASTM, especially inspection and corrosion standards such as API-571, API-579, API-580, API-570 and API-510Valid NACE Specialist Certification or NACE Senior Corrosion Technologist or combination of NACE Corrosion Technologist, API-571 and NACE CP level II #J-18808-Ljbffr
