Position Summary The Compliance Specialist is responsible for ensuring that the company fully complies with Mexican automotive regulations, environmental and labor laws, data privacy requirements, and anti–money laundering (AML) obligations. This role supports internal control, risk assessments, legal documentation, and provides training to strengthen a culture of compliance across all departments.Key ResponsibilitiesRegulatory Compliance (Automotive & Environment):Monitor and ensure compliance with relevant Mexican NOMs and all applicable environmental, labor, and trade laws.Review and update the Legal Matrix in coordination with the Homologation Team.Data Privacy Compliance:Advise on the correct handling of personal data, ensure compliance with LFPDPPP, and oversee internal data-processing practices.Support ARCO rights procedures and maintain related documentation.AML / KYC Compliance:Implement AML procedures for vulnerable activities and obligated entities.Conduct UBO identification, record-keeping, and quarterly reviews of the contract ledger.Prepare reports with findings, completeness checks, and improvement recommendations.Compliance Training:Design and deliver training programs for employees, management, and suppliers on AML, KYC, workplace ethics, competition law, and general compliance standards.Risk Assessment:Conduct compliance risk assessments related to supply chain, environmental impact, product safety, and customs processes.Provide recommendations to mitigate identified risks.Documentation & Reporting:Prepare and maintain compliance records, audit files, and certification evaluations to ensure control and readiness for external or internal reviews.RequirementsEducation & Experience~ Bachelor's degree in Law, International Business, Compliance, or related field.~3+ years of experience in compliance, legal, regulatory affairs, or risk management (automotive industry preferred).Technical KnowledgeStrong knowledge of Mexican NOMs , environmental/labor regulations, and import/export compliance.Solid understanding of personal data protection laws (LFPDPPP) and ARCO rights.Expertise in AML/KYC procedures , vulnerable activities, and UBO identification.Experience designing and delivering corporate compliance trainings.Familiarity with risk assessment methodologies.SkillsExcellent analytical and reporting skills.Strong communication skills in English and Spanish .High attention to detail and ethical judgment.Ability to work cross-functionally with legal, operations, HR, and homologation teams.PreferredCompliance certifications (e.g., AMLD , ISO 37001, Data Privacy, Compliance Officer**).Experience in the automotive or manufacturing sector.
